Stay tuned as we post regular updates on what's happening at Kingsley House & Mews!

JANUARY 2026 UPDATE

In January, we carried out restoration works to the front garden at Kingsley House & Mews, focusing on improving both drainage and the overall look of the space. The main mound was carefully restored, and the old sleepers were removed to help improve water flow and protect the long-term health of the garden.

While the works were underway, we also took the opportunity to refresh the planting across the mound and surrounding borders. We’ve added a mix of new plants that will bring colour and vibrancy through the spring and summer months, alongside structured planting that will hold its shape and interest during the winter season. Our aim is to create a garden that feels welcoming and well cared for all year round.

Thank you to all residents for your patience while the works were being completed — we’re looking forward to seeing everything come into bloom in the months ahead.

DECEMBER 2025 UPDATE

We were delighted to welcome our new landscaping partners this month, who began by giving the grounds a fresh winter refresh.

All window boxes, courtyard hanging baskets, and planters were completely replanted with seasonal arrangements to keep the complex looking cared for and inviting through the colder months. The grounds were also thoroughly cleared, treated where required, and general winter maintenance was carried out to ensure everything remains tidy and well protected.

This marks the beginning of a new phase in how we care for and enhance our shared outdoor spaces — with a continued focus on presentation, sustainability, and year-round colour.

NOVEMBER 2025 UPDATE

During November all the plastic gully covers were replaced with a more durable aluminum version. The cobble lock was also re sanded as part of the ongoing cleaning and maintenance program.

We also conducted testing and maintenance of the intercom system for Kingsley Mews, and additional works to restore some features of the system is scheduled for early December.

OCTOBER 2025 UPDATE

All external lamp post bulbs were replaced with new warm white bulbs of the same tone and wattage. This upgrade ensures consistent lighting across the grounds and helps prevent any outages during the darker months.

During the month, we also completed the second of our newly scheduled bi-annual cobble-lock and grounds power-washing treatments. At the same time, the roofs of all ground-floor apartment sheds and porches were cleared of moss and treated to help prevent regrowth. In the coming weeks, we will also be replacing all plastic gully covers with more durable aluminum ones for improved longevity and appearance.

In addition, we have been working closely with our pest-prevention partner, KeyPest, to maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the grounds. We are currently reviewing their recommendations for enhanced preventative measures within the drainage system and other key areas.

SEPTEMBER 2025 UPDATE

During September, the new rockery-style bait boxes were installed in fresh locations around the grounds by KeyHygiene/KeyPest. These are much more discreet and attractive than the previous steel boxes, blending into the landscaping while still doing their job. At the same time, the old Elis boxes were fully removed, completing our transition to the new service provider.

KeyHygiene/Pest also carried out a full survey of the grounds, and we are now reviewing their recommendations to ensure we keep prevention measures strong and ongoing.

Our landscapers, have recently given the back garden some much-needed care. They’ve cleared the flower beds, removed the dead box hedging, and carried out a general tidy-up. All hanging baskets, flower boxes, and planters have been emptied or removed for now.

AUGUST 2025 UPDATE

Our landscapers, have been busy giving the gardens some much-needed attention. All hedges (including those in the courtyard) have been trimmed back to help them grow healthier and fuller. Over the coming weeks, you’ll also see new planting going into the planters, hanging baskets, and window boxes—front and back—along with a general tidy-up to keep everything looking fresh.

From Sept 1st, we’ll be transitioning our pest preventative controls to KeyHygeine/Pest, having terminated our agreement with Elis. KeyHygeine/Pest will be providing more frequent & comprehensive service as well as more appropriate pest boxes for a residential setting. The steel boxes will be removed and replaced with a rockery style box that will be easier on the eye.
